It’s been a whole wild decade of Harry Potter films, and while the last installment is set for release this July, why wait for a taste? The trailer just came out last week.
The children’s literature series written by J.K. Rowling chronicles the boy hero Harry Potter and his dangerous adventures. The book series has already come to an end, with the seventh and last book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” published on July 21, 2007. Yet, the film series allows dedicated fans to continue following Harry Potter and his friends – until now. The adaptation of “Deathly Hallows” was split into two movies — some raised eyebrows and questions directed at this move — a move that allowed director David Yates to expand the story.
Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson return for the final installment to reprise their roles as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger respectively. In the trailer, there’s a lot of crying, a lot of (epic) wand battle and a LOT of creepy close-up shots of Voldemort (he gives me the shivers every time – funny how he’s portrayed by talented and good-looking Ralph Fiennes). Sure, there’s a lot of CGI and depressing scenes hinting to impending deaths, but there’s a lot of potential for the last movie; we just have to wait until July to see for ourselves. Until then, feast your eyes upon the trailer, and hit “replay” several times for good measure.
