First Lady Michelle Obama will be visiting the East Bay this week — and you can have a shot at seeing her yourself for no less than $1,000 a pop.
In a detailed schedule released in an email statement by the Bay Area Democrats, Mrs. Obama will be having a fundraiser breakfast June 14 for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, with Alice Waters whipping up something local and organic from local farmers and purveyors around the Bay Area, including garlic toast made from toast from Acme Bread‘s first Edible Schoolyard loaf.
The East Bay Breakfast, which will begin at 8:45 a.m. and will be held at The Claremont Hotel Club and Spa in Berkeley, will be followed by an 11 a.m. luncheon for the First Lady and supporters in San Francisco in the Julia Morgan Ballroom in the Merchants Exchange Building.
Prices to see the First Lady and munch on Alice Waters’ tasty treats range from the $1,000 cheap seats to $25,000 for those who would like to listed as co-hosts of the events.
