A woman was the victim of an alleged strong-arm robbery Sunday afternoon in Downtown Berkeley.
At around 2:30 p.m., the woman was standing on Kittredge Street and Shattuck Avenue when she was allegedly approached by a man who forcibly took her iPhone and fled the scene in a green Jeep Cherokee heading east on Kittredge, according to a UCPD crime alert. The victim suffered no injuries during the incident.
After conducting a search, the Berkeley Police Department was unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle, the alert states.
The suspect is described as a male around 25 years old, 5 foot 6 inches tall, with a thin build, dark complexion and short black hair, wearing a dark green and brown short-sleeved shirt and black pants.
