A man was the victim of an armed robbery on Southside Wednesday night.
At about 11:45 p.m., the victim, a 19-year student, was standing on the intersection of Dwight Way and Etna Street when he was allegedly approached by three other men who pushed him to the ground while pointing a gun at him.
The suspects allegedly took several possessions, including an Apple iTouch and a BlackBerry cell phone. One suspect punched the victim in the throat and another struck the suspect across his forehead with the gun, according to a UCPD crime alert. The suspects then allegedly fled on foot down Etna.
The victim was treated on the scene for minor injuries he sustained during the incident.
After searching the area, the Berkeley Police Department was unable to locate the three suspects, according to the alert.
The three suspects are described as being in their late teens, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 9 inches in height, with average builds and all wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark jeans.
