Those funky white boys are back with their new single, “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie.” Quite a mouthful, huh? the song can be found here to be heard in all of it’s red hot glory.
Not only is this the first single from their upcoming album, I’m With You, it’s also the debut of their new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer. If you’re a fan of Stadium Arcadium, then this song is right up your ally. With pop-driven hooks and phaser guitar riffs, the song is sure to be a popular jam on the radio. Those seeking something from the band’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik era still have Flea’s funky bass slaps and Klinghoffer’s groovy guitar to look forward to thankfully. Chad Smith’s drumming is also as solid as ever, with Anthony Kiedis still as vocally charming as ever.
With an August 30th release date, I’m With You will surely be another hit for the Peppers. Hopefully we’ll get another song or two to sample before the record comes out. Until them, enjoy Maggie’s adventure!
