The final proposal of six finalist sites for a second campus of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will be presented tonight.
One of three potential sites that would be at least partially in Berkeley, tonight’s presentation will be for a site located in Emeryville and Berkeley on property already owned by the lab. Last Thursday, Berkeley Aquatic Park West — which would be the only site located completely in the city — made its case to be the second campus.
The presentation will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn at 1800 Powell Street in Emeryville on the 14th Floor — the “Top of the Bay” room — at 7 p.m. The lab expects to make a decision on a preferred site by late November, with occupancy scheduled for 2016.
