An Oakland man was convicted Monday of murdering two men in a 2008 gang-related shooting in South Berkeley and could face life in prison without parole, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
According to the Bay City News, Desmen Lankford, 27, shot Kevin Parker, 42, of Oakland and Kelvin Davis, 26, of Berkeley on Sept. 18, 2008, outside of an apartment complex at 1436 Derby St.
The Bay City News reported that prosecutor Jim Meehan said Lankford was a member of a North Oakland gang and wanted to shoot Kelvin Davis’s twin brother Melvin Davis but chose to shoot Kelvin Davis because he could not find his brother. Meehan accused both Davis brothers of being drug dealers.
The Bay City News also reported that Meehan said Parker had just sold Davis a car outside of the apartment building when Lankford opened fire, shooting Parker because he was with Davis.
According to the Chronicle, Lankford is set to be sentenced by Judge Joan Cartwright in Oakland on Nov. 10.

Justifiable homicide.
This was not a justifiable homicide. However wrote this comment is callous and ignorant for even writing something to that effect.
