The Li Ka-shing Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences is being dedicated Friday at UC Berkeley.
The center, which will house research on infectious diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer biology and stem cell biology, is funded in part by a $40 million donation by the Li Ka-shing Foundation.
“I believe investments in high quality education are the best investments in improving the human condition,” said Li Ka-shing at the dedication ceremony.
