A tweet from American commentator and writer Keith Olbermann’s Twitter account this afternoon, @KeithOlbermann reads:
“#ShowPlug1: Police Attack at #OccupyCal, 39 arrested; organizer Marco Amaral @caloccupation joins us. Is raid on Oakland next?”
Amaral, a UC Berkeley junior and an organizer of Wednesday’s Day of Action and Occupy Cal demonstrations, confirmed with The Daily Californian that he will be interviewed by Olbermann tonight.
Amaral said that in addition to trying to provide greater exposure for the Occupy movement in general and Occupy Cal in particular, part of his goal in appearing on the show is to clear up some misconceptions that the media has conveyed about the protesters.
“To say that students clashed with police is wrong,” he said. “It is correct to say that police were the aggressors and they clashed with students — with peaceful students.”
The show, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, airs on weeknights at 8 p.m.
The tweet also shows up on the show’s website.

was this voted on by the GA? As Occupy Cal’s 2nd proposal says, “no person or group has the ability to speak for the encampment except the General Assembly”
So one kooky lefty interviews another… big f-cking deal.
