Amid Occupy Cal demonstrations across the UC Berkeley campus Tuesday, reports began to come in at about 2:15 p.m. that gunshots were heard at the Haas School of Business. The building has been evacuated and classes canceled for the remainder of the day.
Campus spokesperson Dan Mogulof confirmed that a Haas staff member saw what appeared to be a weapon in a bag and subsequently alerted a supervisor who called UCPD. Upon responding to the scene, UCPD officers shot the suspect who has been transported to a nearby hospital.
This page will continue to be updated throughout the day.

I heard the “weapon” that he was “brandishing” was an android phone. How is this a threat? But then this is the same police force that thinks linking arms is a threat and justifies beating students with bats, so whatever.
CLASS WARFARE
Sad and unfortunate. The Berkeley campus is inundated with non-affiliated individuals on normal days, all the more, during the protests.
Now some state workers that never come to work anyway can demand a 10% raise for hostile work environment.
A flood of unedited, unsubstantiated, unreliable witness accounts. Top quality reporting.
SHUT UP
Perhaps that’s why its called ‘reactions to’? To give readers the idea that its comment and opinion rather than verified facts?
