A 2.7 magnitude earthquake struck Berkeley Thursday evening, with its epicenter near Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on the UC Berkeley campus.
The quake, which hit at 9:18 p.m. Thursday, caused weak shaking and no damage, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake was felt as far away as San Leandro, Hayward and San Francisco, according to the U.S.G.S response system, in which residents can report whether they felt a quake in their city.
