John Wilton, UC Berkeley vice chancellor of administration and finance, announced the appointment of Ann Jeffrey as his new chief of staff in a message to campus staff Monday.
Jeffrey currently serves as assistant vice chancellor for research and has been working at the campus for more than 25 years. She will begin the position Feb. 27.
In her years on campus, Jeffrey has worked in the College of Engineering, the College of Natural Resources and the College of Letters and Science. Between 2000 and 2005, she served as chief of staff under the vice chancellor of budget and finance and as special assistant to the executive vice chancellor and provost.
“In these … positions, she contributed to the development and implementation of campus policies and programs from budget decentralization to financial management training for campus business officers,” Wilton wrote in the message.
Wilton’s current chief of staff, Khira Griscavage, is leaving the administration to focus on family priorities, Wilton said in the message.
Betsy Vincent covers academics and administration.

Translation: She is responsible for the same worthless and incompetent approach that brought things to their present state.
