When we were kids, we were taught that sex isn’t love and love isn’t sex; one doesn’t lead to the other. Somewhere along the way, we accepted that and altered it to fit our changing perspectives and needs. But it’s not all that simple. Our sex lives don’t read out like an issue of Cosmo. They are much messier, much less calculated, and much more real. Sometimes we find ourselves torn, trying to sort between pleasure, companionship and all the stuff that Mom taught us because below the pleasurable surface of sex, there is always a boiling hot core of emotion at the center. Our plan is to reconcile the logical and the lustful as best we can and enjoy the ride along the way.
