The ASUC Senate will vote Wednesday night on whether to place a referendum on the spring 2012 general election ballot to continue the Class Pass program.
The program gives students free ridership on the AC Transit and Bear Transit bus systems, and if the senate passes the bill, students will have the ability to vote on whether they want to continue the program for the next seven years.
If passed, the referendum will eventually increase the price of the student fee and will be in effect from 2013 through 2020.
The meeting tonight will also include a guest announcement by Cal Student Store Director Jeff Deutsch, who will make his first report to the senate this semester and also encourage it to pass a bill in memory of Michael Machell, an extension student and employee of the student store who recently died.
