A task force headed by former state Supreme Court Justice Cruz Reynoso will not release the report on its investigation into the November UC Davis pepper-spray incident Feb. 21, contrary to previous plans.
In a letter to UC President Mark Yudof dated Wednesday, Reynoso wrote that the task force needed a “complete understanding” of the events that took place at the Nov. 18 protest before it releases the report.
“While we are trying to be swift in releasing the report, we have an obligation to the campus community not to be hurried,” Reynoso wrote in the letter.
Instead, the task force expects to release the report to the UC Davis community at a public meeting in March on the Davis campus, according to the letter.
