After Saturday’s win over Oregon State, Cal men’s basketball coach Mike Montgomery was asked about the play of point guard Justin Cobbs. The sophomore transfer dished out a career-high 13 assists in the contest. “I would be disappointed and shocked if he wasn’t Player of the Week,” Montgomery said.

Photo Gallery: Cal baseball sweeps Pacific

The Cal baseball team began the 2012 campaign this weekend with a three-game sweep of Pacific. The Bears won Friday’s opener at Evans Diamond 9-1, and followed that up with a 6-3 win in Stockton, Calif. Cal completed the sweep with a 9-3 win on Sunday.
