Annotated agenda for March 6 Berkeley City Council meeting

This week’s Tuesday night meeting of the Berkeley City Council will contain items carried over from last week’s meeting, as well as many new items and a public hearing.

The council will convene at 7 p.m. in Old City Hall to vote on topics such as limiting campaign contributions for contractors doing business with the city and plans to allow sidewalk displays for stores along Telegraph Avenue. On the action calendar, council will hold a public hearing to discuss the Downtown Area Plan and also vote on a resolutions demanding the government to stop giving corporations the same rights as individuals and another urging state officials to stop the use of a carcinogenic pesticide in California agriculture.
