Coach Mike Montgomery will start next season with another thin roster.
Backup guards Emerson Murray and Alex Rossi are leaving Cal. Both appear on a list of transfers reported by CBS Sports’ Jeff Goodman. The two have been little used in their time on campus, but would have likely seen some increase in playing time with the graduation of forward Harper Kamp and guard Jorge Gutierrez. The pair combined to score 24.6 points per game in their final seasons.
Murray has reportedly signed a letter of intent with Seattle University, which is closer to the Canadian’s native Vancouver. He played in 27 games as a sophomore and averaged 1.7 points.
Rossi, a redshirt freshman who has struggled with a hernia injury his two years on campus, leaves Berkeley having scored only five points in 16 minutes of playing time.

Someone can tell me why cal is not able to recruit a four stars players?
Cause Cal is a shitty place to live
How about going after pf Aaron Gordon or f Dakarai Allen for 2013?
How about going after C Robert Upshaw?
Good news, f Kahlil Johnson has picked Cal.
Arizona’s Josiah Turner is set to transfer, let’s pick him up.
UCLA just picked up Shabazz Muhammad and Arizona has the best incoming class in the nation. Cal needs some 4 star recruits.
Why isn’t Coach Montgomery going after forward Anthony Bennett? Why hasn’t David Andoh received and offer??????????????? It’s a shame we didn’t get Brandon Ashley.
There’s been quite a few people transferring from Cal under Mike Montgomery. This does not bode well for a program that’s in desperate need of bringing in good quality student athletes. Sandy Barbour should try to address this problem.
