Get you some pepper spray and learn to use it. Don’t be hunting by profile, but do defend yourself if accosted. Another thing; Thieves and muggers are every color of the rainbow and when you show off your wealth- goodies you take for granted- you’re just begging to get held up. They are emboldened by the fact that you won’t carry weapons of self defense, either because law denies you the right or you’re too ignorant to do so.

Criminals may come in every color of the rainbow but I’ve never seen a Green guy randomly run up and punch a girl on the sidewalk (Yay Telegraph!), or a fat Blue lady yell racial epitaphs at a mother with her young daughter on a bus, or an orange guy wave a gun out a car window. There are no “Purple” sections of town that I must avoid in fear of being singled out and victimized because of my color. I don’t have to constantly deal with groups of Indigo people yelling vulgar things at my girlfriend in public. I don’t have Red neighbors blasting terrible music in my apartment building at all hours of the night then threatening me when I ask politely for them to stop. Hell, I would be absolutely shocked if I turned on the local news one day and saw an endless string of Violet people wanted for murder, rape, and shootings.

      BUT

I have seen/experienced all those things and the people committing these acts were very monochromatic (mono=one, chromatic=of color). Unless my white-privilege has made my eyes and ears lie to me all these years, the people committing most of crimes are not every color of the rainbow at all. They’re the color that appears when the lights go out, not when its refracted. Profiling could save lives……..why let white guilt get you killed?

And yet again the Daily Cal deliberately deletes the suspects’ race (which was black, by the way) from the UCPD police bulletin.

Yet another triumph for the glory of political correctness!
