Jack White’s solo album BlunderBuss will be coming out this week. Do I really need to say more? Give it a listen before you check him out at Outside Lands this August.
Bay Area artist Ty Segall will be releasing an album with White Fence this week as well. Hair will be one of the many collaboration albums Segall has released over the past few years.
The Oakland-based eclectic singer Merrill Garbus — better known as tUnE-yArDs — will be playing with St. Vincent tomorrow at Oakland’s Fox Theater. The eccentric, experimental singer will be touring in support of her second album w h o k i l l.
San Francisco pop-girls The SHE’s will be leading a Bay Area dream-pop night at the Rickshaw Stop this Wednesday. San Francisco’s pop duo The Bilinda Butchers and Oakland’s Trails and Ways will be playing that night as well.
Local Limelight:
This week, we take a look at the Finish Ticket from Alameda. The pop-rock group played the local band stage last year at BFD, and have been steadily been gaining recognition throughout the Bay Area. Check out their song “New York” below:
