Three UC Berkeley students were victims of armed robbery on Gayley Road Friday night.
At approximately 10:18 p.m., the three students, who were near the bus stop off the Stern Hall access road, noticed a sedan pull up behind them, and two suspects got out of the car, according to a UCPD crime alert.
The first suspect allegedly had a knife, walked up to the victims from behind and took a wallet from one victim and a purse from another victim, according to the alert. The third victim gave the second suspect his wallet after the suspect allegedly punched him in the head, according to the alert.
UCPD searched the area for the vehicle, but did not find any matching vehicles in the area and is continuing its investigation of the robbery, according to the alert.
Below is the UCPD Crime Alert description of the suspects:
Suspect #1 – Black male, 22 to 24-years-old, 5′ 09 ” tall, skinny, wearing red or white hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect #2 – Black male, 24 to 26-years-old, 5′ 10″ tall, about 225 lbs, wearing hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect #3 – was driving, no further description.

It’s almost pointless for the Daily Cal do do so. Like, what, you’re going to go out and look for these guys yourself? All it does now is just make all the white and asian people scared of every black person they see on campus.
Censoring valuable information like the suspects’ race is inappropriate.
It’s refreshing that the Daily Cal staff has finally opened their eyes.
Even black people are scared of young black males roaming around at night. Racial profiling is not PC but why be a statistic when you can do something to protect yourself?
