The Berkeley City Council meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. will focus largely on items carried over from previous meetings, as well as other new items.

Items for the meeting include the third phase of the West Berkeley Project — the master use permit process. Previous discussions of the project have sparked a wide range of interest from city residents, with as many as 60 people coming out to express their opinions during the public comment section. The item remains a high-interest matter both for residents and the council.

Moreover, as election season nears, many items for the meeting include preparation for the November election. Such items include taxes for special city services, redistricting and contractor donation bans on local elections, among others.
