Head coach Lindsay Gottlieb announced Wednesday that Katy Steding will join the women’s basketball staff this coming season.
Steding has a decorated history as both an NCAA Champion at Stanford during her collegiate days and a gold medalist with Team USA at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ga. Steding was also a WNBA player before turning to coaching. She most recently was the assistant head coach of the Dons at Univeristy of San Francisco.
“I am ecstatic to be able to add a coach of Katy’s stature to our staff,” Gottlieb said. “Katy has proven that she not only played the game at the highest level, but it one of the best teachers on the floor.”
Stedig will replace Daron Park, who resigned this past April. She joins Kai Felton and Charmin Smith on Gottlieb’s coaching staff.
