  1. S.C. Woolf says:

Oh no! What have I done!

    I hope… haha… I hope I don’t get FIRED!

Yeah: I apologize a million times. Please don’t, you know, “take your business” elsewhere. The Angry Male demographic is exactly what our advertisers want! In fact, I’ll let you in on a little secret: we on the Daily Cal staff have had a real tough time attracting this key segment of the population for quite a while. One of our columnist even broke down into tears: “No one has called me a ‘libtard’ in THREE WEEKS!” It was a sleepless night for many of us, to be sure.

In all seriousness, I worry about you guys. I do. Like, are you even Cal students, or what? The whole tuning into college dailies thing – and tearing down our eighteen-year-old columnists – is kind of pathetic. Why don’t you treat yourself to a bar tonight – the lady of your dreams might be waiting for you.

K, I doubt this is actually S.C. Woolf, but if it is, check it out:  I graduated Cal in ’09, so that’s a “yes” to being a student.  I am male, but I’m well employed, happily engaged (though that is technically “single”) and by the way you sound I’m nowhere near as “angry” as you are.  And it shouldn’t make any difference which side of the aisle I stand on, but I don’t mind mentioning that I happening to be a fellow “libtard”.
But I still don’t get it, Woolf.  Why would you launch ad hominem insults against ANYONE who takes an interest in leaving comments on the Daily Cal?  And if you’re looking at the profiles of people who leave comments based on their emails, don’t you think they’d be smarter than to use their own real personal emails rather than a made up one for this kind of thing?  And frankly, for something like this, you shouldn’t be fired but should be asked to explain yourself.  I mean c’mon, Woolf.

    • Adsahjh says:

Is this what the Daily Cal is now? Wow.

    • Tony M says:

[Like, are you even Cal students, or what?]

Some of us were, years ago. We graduated, got jobs, and moved on, but on occasion we’re curious to see what’s going on at our alma mater, given that those of us still in this state are paying taxes to support it. You have a problem with that?

        For the record:

I believe the comment by Woolf was removed because it violated the Daily Cal rule that Daily Cal employees are not allowed to post in the comments section.

    • I_h8_disqus says:

Now that you get my $2, you kick me.  I am just curious about what comments to what article set you off on your ad hominem attack of all of us?  You know that you don’t need to pull a John Pike on us.  You can just reply to the poster you disagree with.  Calipenguin was being very nice to Mia, yet your cartoon and this comment of yours attacks him too.

  2. Take your business elsewhere! says:

Hey everyone, get your news from Berkeleyside instead.  They would never insult you like this.

Daily Cal, what was the thinking behind this and why would you stoop so low?  Zero class on this one.

  3. Nate Hanson says:

Looks like another one of the crypto-fascist Daily Cal’s libtard Demonrats is at it again, trying to silence patriotic grass roots dissent
against the Odumbo puppet lamestream media. Typical Marxist-fascist-socialist drone scum.

    Sincerely,
    Daily Cal Online Commenter

  4. Guest again says:

Here’s a profile of the typical Daily Cal writer:

    (1) No real job.

    (2) No real life experience.

    (3) No real major.

    How about that?

    • Adsahjh says:

And the Daily Cal illustrators are even worse. Their editorial cartoons never make a whit of sense. It’s not even that the cartoons are typical liberal editorial page crap, but they’re literally nonsensical. Like this one that suggests that an imprisoned Al Qaeda terrorist is the typical Daily Cal commentator. As Admiral General Aladeen would say, “what the fahourmajawali?”

  5. Adsahjh says:

wtf? oh, okay, I guess it’s daily cal policy to insult its loyal readers…you know, the ones providing page views and potential ad revenue.

No wonder you guys are always in constant money shit.

and wtf is up with making daily cal online readers look like khalid sheikh mohammed. that doesn’t even make sense.
