Woman victim of hate crime in People’s Park

A woman was the victim of a hate crime in People’s Park Saturday.

According to a UCPD crime alert, the woman was sitting on a park bench reading her bible at 11 a.m. Saturday when she was approached by a male suspect.

The man walked up to her, said a racial comment, and threw her bible away from her, the alert reads. UCPD officers responded to the scene and were not able to locate the suspect, according to the alert.

Below is the UCPD crime alert description of  the suspects:

“A White male, approximately 70 years old, 5’02” in height, thin build, white hair, white beard, wearing a blue/white horizontal striped shirt and jeans.”

    Not at all surprising. In Berkeley, anti-Christian hate is accepted and celebrated.
