Update 3:16 PM: UC Police Department Spokesperson Lt. Eric Tejada has announced that no bomb was found and the streets have been been reopened.

Law enforcement officials are investigating a bomb threat at a Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory office in Emeryville.

Staff at the laboratory office notified UCPD and Emeryville police around 7 a.m. Wednesday of a potential bomb threat. The office, located at 5885 Hollis St., was quickly evacuated, said UC Berkeley police Lt. Eric Tejada.

About a dozen UCPD and Emeryville Police Department officers, Emeryville firefighters, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and five police dogs from various agencies are now investigating the scene, according to Tejada.

Although the threatened location remains closed off for investigation, offices surrounding the location have been reopened for business, officials said.
