Cal 74, Arizona State 53
While Arizona State showed defensive grit in the low-scoring, four-point loss to UCLA two weeks ago, the Sun Devils will be asked to contain a wholly different animal against Cal on Friday.
The Bears, currently ranked No. 6 in the nation, have been consistently rolling through its Pac-12 foes since its marquee win against Stanford at Maples. Cal has too many weapons for a .500 team like the Sun Devils to stop.
The most interesting matchup will be at the frontcourt starring the guards. Cal’s guards are the drummers that pace the team’s rhythm, and the Bears’ drumbeat is frenetically fast.
But speed isn’t the only name of the game for this Cal squad. They are much more well-rounded than that. Good luck to the Sun Devils on Friday.
