‘Untied’ we stand …

Along with the challenging task of completing the required readings for 19 units of classes comes the utter joy of finding errors in works that (I assume) have been edited many times over by countless sets of eyes. I came across this erroneous — yet hilarious — misspelling of our great nation’s name while reading for one of my political science classes. Two letters were switched, and “United” became “Untied” in a perfect reversal of meaning. Though I anticipate more dry readings for the remainder of the semester, I can at least also look forward to catching more words gone awry.
