And… we’re back with the second edition of Indie Games Round-up! Look, I know I haven’t been back for a while, but it’s been a crazy past month. Finally, things have died down, and to follow that pace, I’ve brought you a bunch of cool text adventure games to try out that might make you super depressed or scared(be warned). So let’s dive in.
The Message
(Available to play at http://ludonaut.de/the-message/)

In fear of spoiling anything, I won’t say much about this game. Incredibly atmospheric, well written and just plain creepy, “The Message” hits the bone. Trust me: the build up is worth it. And make sure you play it with the accompanying sound.
And the Robot Horse You Rode in On
(Available to play at http://www.auntiepixelante.com/2100ad/)
From feminist game designer/zinester/writer/personality Anna Anthropy, “And the Robot Horse You Rode in On” is a atmospheric, future-cowgirl simulator full of bold writing and interesting descriptions. Raw, dirty and vulgar, it matches Anna Anthropy’s interesting style as a game designer, just mixed with a Firefly-esque setting. Definitely worth at least a couple minutes of your time.
Depression Quest
(Available to play at http://www.depressionquest.com/dqfinal.html)
I can’t say more about this game than what Kallie Plagge said in her review, but I can say that you can play this game right now (just click on the blue link above) and it is super compelling. While there are over 3 endings and tons of depressing choices to make, the music hits the mood perfectly. And if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, do so now.
