Allen Crabbe, Cal’s leading scorer and the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year, declared his intentions to enter the NBA Draft on Wednesday.
Crabbe possesses the ideal profile for an NBA shooting guard. He has the height, wingspan and athleticism to defend both guards and small forwards. His jump shot ranks among the best in the draft class. And his off-the-dribble game took a big step forward in his junior year, often creating space for pull-up jumpers and floaters in the lane.
Mock drafts project the junior guard’s draft position ranging from the late first round to the early second round. Nbadraft.net, a reputable mock draft site, has Crabbe going to Oklahoma City with the twenty-eighth pick in the first round.
