As the hordes of students begin to flock back to campus from their memorable weekend(s) at Coachella and are forced to face the final crunch of the semester, they’ll have many sweet memories to liven up the impending finals season. For those of us who stayed in the Berkeley area, we’ll have our “couch-ella” moments of the YouTube livestream to fondly reflect on. But for both of these scenarios, it was all about the music. Coachella books some pretty awesome headliners (did you see Phoenix and R. Kelly remix it up?), but a great thing about big music festivals like this is that it jump-starts the careers of many smaller acts, giving them access to a wider audience and an hour to do their thing. Here are some great up-and-coming artists who played at this year’s festival:
