An armed robbery took place early Thursday morning near the intersection of Hearst and Euclid avenues.
At approximately 12:58 a.m., the victim, a 25-year-old male victim affiliation with UC Berkeley is unknown, was walking on Euclid Avenue when the perpetrator approached him with a gun, according to the UCPD crime alert released Friday. The suspect took the victim’s property and entered a vehicle.
The victim was not injured during the encounter. UCPD and Berkeley Police Department searched the area but could not locate the perpetrators.
According to the crime alert, the perpetrators are described as:
Perpetrator No. 1: A black male in his early 20s, 6 feet in height, with a slender build and armed with a gun.
Perpetrator No. 2: A black, male, adult driver.
The vehicle was described as a red Ford Mustang of a newer model.
