Instagram founders Mike Krieger and Kevin Systrom are coming to campus Monday to hold a question-and-answer session for UC Berkeley students and community members. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in 2050 VLSB.
Krieger and Systrom founded the online photo- and video-sharing app in 2010 and, just two years later, received an offer from Facebook to sell the company for $1 billion in cash, marking Facebook’s largest acquisition to date. In February of this year, Instagram announced that it had about 100 million active users.
Attendees can post questions they would like to ask Krieger and Systrom on the event’s Facebook page but also will have the opportunity to ask questions at the event live. Chipotle will be served.
