Attempted robbery occurs on Grinnell Pathway

A UC Berkeley student was the victim of an attempted robbery Friday night south of Mulford Hall.

According to a UCPD crime alert released Monday, a 29-year-old male student was walking southbound on Grinnell Pathway around 8:46 p.m. when he was approached by two males riding bicycles. The bicyclists allegedly demanded his property, after which the student ran to a phone at the West Crescent and shouted that he would call the police. The bicyclists then rode away, northbound, according to the alert.

UCPD could not find the suspects after searching the area. The student suffered no injuries.

According to the crime alert, both suspects are described as 14-year-old black males, 5-feet-8 in. in height with thin builds and in black hooded sweatshirts.
