A 33-year-old male campus employee was robbed the evening of Sept. 9 at the West Crescent near the west entrance of campus, according to a UCPD crime alert released Tuesday.
The employee was walking around the southwest corner of the area sometime between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m. when a man approached him from behind. The man allegedly forced an unknown metal object into the employee’s back, which the employee believed was a gun, and allegedly demanded his money.
After the employee complied, the man fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said. The employee was not physically harmed.
According to the alert, the suspect is described as approximately 5-foot-8 to 6-foot in height.
