It’s officially summer!: also known as the best time of the year aside from Christmas and your birthday. To kick off the season of warm sand between our toes, we at the Clog would like to offer a cool and refreshing beverage to throw back while basking in the sun. Enjoy!

What you’ll need for this fruity cocktail are cranberry, orange and lime juice. You will also need sugar and water to make a simple syrup. Ice and a glass are also highly recommended if you don’t want to enjoy this beverage as a lukewarm soup. Another optional addition is some choice alcohol if you’re looking to get turnt — we recommend 1.5 ounces of chilled vodka or white rum.

We recommend making the simple syrup first to allow time for it to cool before being thrown into the mix. This entails warming equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan until everything is dissolved and getting along nicely.

Next combine four parts cranberry juice, one part each of orange juice, lime juice and simple syrup (plus 1.5 ounces of alcohol, if using).

Now what’s cooler than cool? Ice cold! So throw some of that anti-soup ice in there to make things chilled. Just like the blood pumping through your stone cold heart.

Once everything is combined, be sure to shake it, shake, shake, shake, shake it. Shake it like a polaroid picture. Then pour to enjoy!
