Berkeley Police Department has located a missing person at risk, according to a Nixle alert released Tuesday evening.

BPD issued an alert Tuesday afternoon asking for the public’s help in locating Bret Spencer, a 93-year-old Berkeley resident. BPD later released an additional Nixle alert about 5:55 p.m., announcing Spencer has since been found.

“She is safe and has been returned home,” the alert said. “We would also like to extend our thanks to AC (Transit) and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office in helping locate her.”

According to the first alert, Spencer was missing from her home, which is on the 600 block of Spruce Street. The alert stated that she was last seen shortly after 2:00 p.m. and may have been wearing a full-length pink bathrobe.
