Two male victims were robbed early Monday morning at the intersection of Hearst Avenue and Oxford Street.

The victims, of unknown affiliation to the campus, were walking near the intersection when they were approached by three males suspects about 2:21 a.m. Monday, according to a UCPD Nixle alert released Monday afternoon.

“The suspects simulated as if they had weapons and demanded the victims’ property,” the alert alleged. “The victims complied and the suspects were last seen running south on Oxford and possibly getting into an older sedan.”

According to the alert, the victims did not sustain any physical injuries from the incident. Berkeley Police Department searched the area but was unable to locate the suspects.

The alert described the three suspects as Black males in their early to mid 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches in height with a thin build. The alert added that the suspects were described as wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt and black plants.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call BPD at 510-981-5900.
