Berkeley Police Department and UCPD arrested one individual on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a UCPD Nixle alert issued Monday morning.

A UCPD Community Services Officer was at the corner of Telegraph Avenue and Channing Way in a UCPD vehicle when he saw two males arguing in the street about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, the alert said. One of the males approached the UCPD vehicle and told the officer he had been stabbed.

“UCPD and BPD responded to the location and the victim was transported to a local hospital,” the alert said. “The suspect was detained and later arrested.”
