UCPD, BPD detectives arrest strong-arm robbery suspect Thursday

A strong-arm robbery suspect who allegedly stole multiple laptops was arrested by UCPD and Berkeley Police Department detectives Thursday, according to a Nixle alert issued by UCPD about 9:49 a.m. Wednesday.

The arrested suspect is named by the Nixle alert as Kenthol Fenceroy Jr. of Oakland. The alert stated that Fenceroy was arrested on suspicion of multiple felonies related to City of Berkeley investigations including theft, possession of stolen property and evasion.

The Nixle alert stated that Fenceroy allegedly stole a laptop Oct. 17 at Crossroads Dining Hall and another laptop Nov. 8 on the Clark Kerr Campus. Fenceroy evaded BPD officers when they attempted to stop him in his car Nov. 29, according to the alert.
