Hit-and-run seriously injures woman in South Berkeley

Berkeley Police Department released a Nixle alert Tuesday morning about an investigation in the 3100 block of San Pablo Avenue in which a woman was seriously injured during a hit-and-run.

BPD was called to the 3100 block of San Pablo Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Monday for a collision involving an automobile and a pedestrian, according to the alert.

The alert alleges that the incident was a hit-and-run and that the victim was transported to Highland Hospital in Oakland with serious injuries.

The Tuesday alert stated that BPD was conducting an investigation on the block and would shut down the roadway to all vehicle traffic. In a separate alert released about an hour later, BPD stated that the roadway is now open.
