Berkeley police ask for help in identifying sexual battery suspect

Berkeley Police Department sent out a Nixle alert late Thursday afternoon asking the community for help in identifying a sexual battery suspect.

According to the alert, at approximately 8:57 a.m. on Dec. 10, the victim was jogging on the sidewalk near the intersection of Ninth Street and Heinz Avenue when she was approached from behind by the suspect, who allegedly grabbed the victim’s buttocks before fleeing the area.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap and blue pants.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call 510-981-5715.

    Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by The Daily Californian.
    Wow, I’m a guy and was grabbed on the back side by a female co-worker, cute by the way, and told her that if I had done that to her I would be out of a job. I personally didn’t mind it at all! Should I have feigned disgust and collected a huge settlement? I wonder now.
