Berkeley man dies after truck overturns in Monterey County

A Berkeley man died Tuesday after his pickup truck overturned on northbound U.S. Highway 101 near King City in Monterey County, according to a Berkeley Patch news alert.

The 67-year-old man was driving a black 1998 Toyota Tacoma at about 65 mph when the truck drifted onto the right shoulder. He then made a turn to the left, and as the truck crossed onto northbound U.S. Highway 101, it overturned, the alert said.

The crash was reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday. The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
