Within 10 minutes of each other, two shootings occurred in South Berkeley on Thursday night — Berkeley Police Department has found no victims for either shooting and is asking community members to come forward if they have any additional information.

About 9:39 p.m., BPD received reports of multiple calls of shots fired around the 1600 block of Russell Street. The officers arrived at the scene to find no gunshot victims, but “evidence which indicated a significant number of shots were fired causing some property damage,” according to the Nixle Alert sent out by BPD on Friday afternoon.

Nine minutes later, BPD received another report of a shooting — officers once again arrived at the scene to find no gunshot victims.

It is currently unclear whether the two shootings are related, the alert read.

Since “the community” refuses to provide details to the police, the City of Berkeley should install CCTV and Shotspotter to arrest these criminals.

Just another day in the leftist utopia of Berkeley.

Tourists should be warned to stay away, however.
