Two pedestrians — a man and a woman — were robbed at gunpoint Friday night in the Elmwood district just one block south of Clark Kerr Campus, as first reported by Berkeleyside.

The robbery occurred about 11 p.m. on the 2900 block of Forest Avenue, according to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Peter Hong. Hong said the two robbers, both of whom are male, stole personal items from the victims “by way of firearm.” Neither of the victims were injured, he said.

“It was two people who were walking that were robbed,” Hong said. “It was not a home invasion. It was not a carjacking.”

Hong said the robbery is still under investigation and the suspects have not yet been found.

BPD received a call shortly after the robbery and responded “quite quickly,” according to Hong.
