A 25-year-old man was seriously injured after a shooting near Fat Slice Pizza on Southside early Friday morning, as first reported on Wildfire.

Berkeley Police Department received a call about the shooting at about 1 a.m., and police arrived at the Sather Gate parking garage. The shooting was allegedly the result of a dispute between two people deciding whether to stay on Telegraph Avenue and get food, according to the Wildfire alert.

According to police, 38-year-old Justin Reed allegedly shot the victim and then called 911 to ask for help.

Both men were allegedly intoxicated, according to police, and a firearm was found on the scene.

Reed was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm on a person as well as two other firearm-related violations. He remains in custody at a jail in Dublin on bail of $105,000 and is scheduled for arraignment Monday.
