For the second year in a row, redshirt senior center Addison Ooms has been named to the preseason watchlist for the Rimington Trophy, an honor bestowed annually upon the best center in college football.
Ooms is one of 58 student-athletes to be named to the watchlist for the trophy. He is the only current Bear to have started in the past 24 games, a streak stretching back to the beginning of the 2016 campaign.
The Southern California native joins nine other Pac-12 centers on the preseason watchlist — no Pac-12 player has ever won the award.
The winning athlete will be named at the Rimington Trophy Presentation in Nebraska on Jan. 12, 2019.
