Woman assaults female UC Berkeley student near Moffitt Library

An aggravated assault occurred outside Moffitt Library on Tuesday, according to a UCPD Nixle alert issued Thursday.

A female student was allegedly punched in the face by a female suspect at approximately 11 a.m. The victim reported that the suspect said something similar to, “Stop following me,” the alert said.

The victim was standing outside of Moffitt Library’s southern entrance, according to UCPD Sgt. Jon Caires.

According to the alert, the incident was unprovoked, and the victim’s face was injured.

The assault was reported Thursday, two days after it occurred.
