A bus filled with everything about the show about nothing came to UC Berkeley Tuesday.

The 60-foot-long articulated bus was on campus as part of a nationwide advertising effort to get college students interested in "Seinfeld," one of the most popular television sitcoms in the last 20 years.

Fans found laptops linked to the show's MySpace and Facebook pages, props from the show and free candy.

"The idea was to bring 'Seinfeld' to college students in a way that they can understand," said Erika Williams, a managing partner at Yardstick Partners, which helped design the bus.

While the goals of the tour include introducing the show to a younger generation, most of the people in attendance said they were already familiar with it.

"I've seen every episode at least a couple times," said Brendan Mathews, a graduate student at the Haas School of Business, while waiting in line to take a picture with a cut-out of the cast.

Berkeley is just one stop on the Seinfeld Campus Tour run by the television section of Sony Pictures, which owns the syndication rights to the show.

Ten years after its conclusion, "Seinfeld" remains among the top five shows in syndication, Williams said. The tour is intended to reinforce the popularity of the show with a younger audience.

Members of other generations were also enthusiastic about the bus's appearance on campus.

Jane Elin-Donner, an employee at UC Berkeley, said she has watched the sitcom ever since it started, but was not sure if the bus would help get people interested in the show.

But for fans, it was a great chance to relive some of their favorite moments.

"I was walking by and I saw this big 'Seinfeld' bus," said junior Alan Chen. "I'm a big 'Seinfeld' fan I have every episode."
