Berkeley police arrested an uninvited male who allegedly interrupted a party at the Sigma Chi fraternity in the early hours of Sunday morning.
At around 12:25 a.m., about 10 Berkeley police cars gathered outside Sigma Chi after receiving a call from fraternity members, according to Berkeley police Officer Ed Galvan.
Shortly after arriving at the house, located at 2345 College Avenue, Berkeley police arrested a man who allegedly caused a disturbance and tried to fight fraternity members when he was asked to leave, Galvan said.
"There was a house party and there were some uninvited guests," Galvan said. "People started showing up and it was not who (fraternity members) wanted. Unfortunately they had to wind up calling us and we had to go in there because those guys wouldn't leave."
Galvan identified the male who was arrested as being college-aged, but would not disclose further details.
Fraternity members who were questioned by police outside the house declined to comment on the incident.
